For the first time in the world, a joint operation between unmanned sea vehicles (İDA) and unmanned aerial vehicles (İHA) in swarm formation was carried out. The test was conducted in Mersin, where the Kamikaze İDA Albatros, designed to move at high speed on the water’s surface and explode upon collision with enemy targets, demonstrated its effectiveness. The Albatros, capable of moving in a swarm of eight units, conducted an attack on a target ship. During the test, one of the Kamikaze İDA Albatros, carrying munitions from ROKETSAN, collided and exploded on the target ship. The test was a success, with the 22-meter target ship sinking within minutes.
In addition to the Kamikaze İDA Albatros, the Bayraktar TB2 İHA, belonging to the Navy, also participated in the test. In the applied scenario, the unmanned sea vehicles were directed to the target detected by the Bayraktar TB2. This joint operation demonstrated, for the first time in the world, the concept of a kamikaze swarm attack with İDA.
